Winter 2015 Book Distribution
Happy New Year! Our winter 2015 book distribution is underway and continues through February 25. Our enthusiastic volunteers are ready with lots of new books!
Our third and final book distribution for the year 2014 – 2015 school year will begin on April 13.
Updates from our Team!
Thank you to all our RIF volunteers and supporters; our fall book distribution was a successful one! We distributed books to our 16 RIF schools and completed our visits on October 17.
We’ll be ordering books and preparing for our winter book distribution which runs from January 16 to February 25, 2015.
Our 2013-2014 RIF Season
We just completed our 2013-2014 RIF season! Our RIF volunteers visited the 16 RIF schools in the fall of 2013, and winter and spring of 2014.
Because of our generous supporters, in addition to offering the children their selection of a book at each of our classroom visits, we also provided “grab bags” from which the children selected a second book! We distributed a total of 23,866 books during the past school year! Our 2014-2015 RIF season begins this September!

• Encourages a love of reading through book ownership
• Provides 16,000 books a year to K-3 students in economically disadvantaged communities on Oahu
• Is an all-volunteer organization, with no paid staff
Your gift of $50 buys 20 books, $100 buys 40 books, and $500 buys 200 books!
100% of all donations to RIF-Honolulu are used exclusively for our Oahu program! Contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
