Mahalos from Keiki
Over 4,600 pre-K through third grade students, plus over 200 student helpers, received books from RIF during our 2025-2026 school year. These are just some of their tokens of appreciation to our wonderful volunteers who read to them in their classrooms and shared how reading is FUNdamental!
We hope everyone has an enjoyable and restful summer break .. and we’ll see you again in September!
We’re Wrapping Up the Year

RIF has just a couple more schools to visit in May, and then we’re pau for the school year! It’s been a great year of Fall, Winter, and Spring visitations, and the student helpers make it extra-special for our volunteer readers. Pictured above are Nanaikapono Elementary’s student helpers with the readers they assisted in late April.
RIF Update
We’re getting closer to having our Contact Us and Donate pages function as they should. If you’ve tried to contact us, we are NOT ignoring you; we still aren’t receiving notifications and have no way to even view messages. The Donate page only works if you want to download the form and mail to us with a check, but we hope the credit card payment button will work soon.
In the meantime, check out some great books Ms Pillittieri’s third grade class selected at Kalihi Waena’s visit yesterday!

RIF “Kick-Off”
To kick off a new year of school visitations, RIF volunteers enjoyed another yummy and entertaining get-together. Prospective volunteers met current ones, and everyone shared a bit about themselves. Fred shared the best – another story called ‘The Dragon and the Pearlโ.
Watch the moral ๐ at the end of the 12 minute video ๐.
As always, much mahalo to our hostess, Janis!
